About the Bus Ride Home

The Bus Ride Home is a resource for sustainable action and support for the students who are working to make great change in our country as well as for the ministers, teachers, and mentors who work with students each day.

The Bus Ride Home originated several years ago, brought to you by The Episcopal Diocese of Washington (Located in Washington, D.C.), and updated by The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations in 2022. Many of the resources you find here have been curated from across The Episcopal Church, especially as it relates to concerns about gun violence.

We are in awe of the ingenuity, bravery, and persistence of the students who are taking part in or have organized the movement which includes the March For Our Lives, and for those of you whom that describes we hope to be a source of support and encouragement. This is your march, this is your work, and we hope to honor it.

Holy Eucharist

Sunday, May 11, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Worship in the Episcopal Church rests on scripture and the traditions of the elegant language of the Book of Common Prayer. While the worship might seem more formal than spontaneous, we reliably read scripture every time we worship together, and we follow the liturgy that has stood the test of time. Our worship is in letting the liturgy carry us along into a deeper spiritual awareness and connection with God.
